I am proud to be the Head Teacher of New Perspectives School.

I am an experienced School Leader who over the past 20 years has worked in mainstream, alternative provision and SEMH schools.

All pupils attending New Perspectives School will be given the best education and pastoral support to enable them to achieve in all areas and be successful in the future.

I have been an English Teacher for over 35 years and have taught in both Mainstream Schools and Alternative Provisions. During my career , I have been a Head of Department, Deputy Head, and a Head of School. However, my first love is being in the classroom and aiming to inspire pupils to achieve their best. When not at work I love gardening , walking the dog and when possible, watching a good game of rugby.

Caroline Dhir (School Business Manager)

Caroline has over 30 years’ experience working within Supervisory/Managerial Administration and Customer Service roles, most recently Caroline was employed for 15 years as an Administration Manager is an Ofsted Independent Registered Residential School for children with Autism. Caroline joined Care Perspectives December 2021 as School Business Manager, contributing towards the DFE/Ofsted registration and set up of New Perspectives School.

I have been a receptionist/administrator for the last 5 years, I love working with children of all ages,  and to see them thrive is such a lovely experience.

I do my upmost to support and help the students and parent/carers to the best of my ability.

I have a cat called Sox that we rescued from outside New Perspectives School that has brought such joy to our home.

I have been an Art Teacher for over 28 years and have taught in Mainstream Secondary, Special Schools, Further and Higher Education. During my career , I have been Head of Creative and Performing Arts, Subject Leader for Design Technology, Seconded to work with the Learning Skills Development Agency and Head of Teaching.

I am the schools SENCO and oversee the SEND provision for the school. I have taught in mainstream, alternative provision and SEN schools in Birmingham for the last 18 years. I completed my PGCE in Physical Education at the University of Wales, Bangor. I also hold the NASENCO Qualification as well as NPQSL. Every child deserves a safe a stimulating environment to learn, which is why I am excited and privileged to oversee the SEN provision at New Perspectives School.

I have been teaching Maths for 15 years. in inner city Birmingham and spent of my teaching career teaching in an Alternative Provision, teaching students with a range of behavioural and educational needs. I led the Maths department and spent 5 years as an Assistant Head Teacher

My name is Hannah. I am the Pastoral Lead and Food Technology Teacher for New Perspectives School. I have worked in education for 11 years, most of my career has been based within an Alternative Provision setting however I also have 4 years of mainstream education experience. I love nothing more than going for a long walk with my dogs Nellie and Milo. I have a real passion for home renovation and snacking on pretzels whilst watching trashy tv.

Louise Croton

Therapeutic Mentor

I thrive on seeing young people flourish and grow in confidence. The “Therapeutic” part of my job is my favourite, I get to share my love of crafting, sewing and creativity.

Over my career within Alternative Provision’s, I have acquired many skills to help young people through some of the worst times of their lives and some of the best.  I have a good understanding of the importance of Wellbeing and i am a Mental Health First Aider.

Chloe Eaton

Learning Mentor

I am a Learning Mentor at New Perspectives School. My expertise is in a therapeutic home with children who have experienced trauma. At New Perspectives School we work on changing negative experiences in to positive.

I have experience of working in an alternative provision secondary school where I lead on BTEC home cooking skills as well as monitoring safeguarding concerns. My favourite thing to do is going on hikes all around the UK with my Cocker Spaniel called Blue

Rob Cornwell

Learning Mentor

I am a former foster carer experienced in looking after young people with SEMH needs and history of trauma. I have bought my skills of working with young people to the classroom where i will encourage and support students on their learning journey and help them develop essential life skills ready for the world of independence. I have a pug called Ronnie Barker and we love nothing more than going on long walks or a road trip.
